Terms of Service

Effective date: May 14, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Meetex mobile application (“Meetex”, “the app”, “the Service”), operated by Devscript Technologies LLP (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in the UAE with trade licence N/A (Sole Proprietorship).

By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

You're responsible for all activity on your account. Keep credentials confidential. Notify support@meetex.app of unauthorised access. Delete your account via Settings → Account → Delete Account (permanent and irreversible).

3. What Meetex Provides

A location-based social discovery platform for activities, Join Me presence broadcasting, waves, chat, ratings, and AI-powered suggestions.

Meetex is a discovery platform, not a guarantor of safety. We do not perform background checks beyond optional ID verification.

4. Identity Verification

Optional. Verifies that an ID appears valid and matches a selfie. Does not constitute a background check or safety guarantee.

5. Acceptable Use

Governed by our Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy.

You agree not to:

Violations result in suspension, ban, and where applicable, reports to UAE authorities.

6. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you post. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating Meetex. Licence ends when you delete content, with exceptions for delivered messages and legal retention.

We respond to reported content within 24 hours where reasonably possible.

7. The “Join Me” Feature — Safety Terms

Join Me lets you broadcast a soft presence signal. You control visibility (Everyone, Women, Men), acceptance, duration. You can use SOS during/after meetups.

8. Meeting in Person — Assumption of Risk

Meetex is not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or in person. To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, you release Devscript Technologies LLP from claims arising from interactions with users.

Meet in public places, inform a trusted person, trust your instincts, contact 999 for emergencies, use SOS, report incidents.

9. Future Paid Features

When monetised: Apple In-App Purchase for digital goods on iOS, clear pricing, refund process aligned with UAE consumer protection law.

10. Intellectual Property

The Meetex name, logo, app, and brand are owned by Devscript Technologies LLP. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the app.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate for violations. You may terminate via in-app deletion. Provisions intended to survive (liability, dispute resolution, etc.) remain.

12. Disclaimers

Meetex is provided “as is” without warranties to the maximum extent permitted by UAE law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, our total liability shall not exceed the greater of: amounts you paid us in the prior 12 months, or AED 500.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential damages; personal injury from user interactions; conduct of third parties.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of Meetex, your content, or violations of these Terms.

15. Apple-Specific Terms (iOS)

These Terms incorporate Apple's Standard EULA. These Terms are between you and Devscript Technologies LLP, not Apple. Apple has no support obligation. We are responsible for product claims. Apple is a third-party beneficiary.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governed by UAE law. Disputes:

  1. Informal resolution first (support@meetex.app, 30 days)
  2. Binding arbitration via Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), in English, seated in Dubai, one arbitrator
  3. Courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction for non-arbitrable matters

You waive class action rights.

17. Changes to These Terms

Material changes notified in-app, by email, and via push. Continued use after non-material changes constitutes acceptance.
