Devscript Technologies LLP (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Meetex mobile application (“Meetex”, “the app”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.
We comply with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use Meetex.

- Government-issued ID (optional verification)

- Emergency contact (optional, for SOS feature)
2.2 Information you generate
- Activities you create or join
- Join Me sessions and waves
- Chat messages, attachments, polls, locations shared
- Ratings and reviews
- Reports filed
2.3 Location data
- Precise location (latitude/longitude) when app is in use, to show nearby activities and Join Me sessions
- Approximate location from IP when precise unavailable
- We do not collect background location

- Device model, OS, app version
- IP address (security and abuse prevention)
- Push token (FCM)
- Language, locale
- Crash logs

- Screens viewed, features used (PostHog, masked)

6. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Some processors operate outside the UAE. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards, adequacy decisions, or your explicit consent.

8. Your Rights

- Lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office or your EU authority
To exercise: privacy@meetex.app or Settings → Privacy → Manage My Data. We respond within 30 days.
Immediate deletion: Settings → Account → Delete Account.
9. Security

If we discover a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the UAE Data Office without undue delay.
10. Children
Meetex is for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. We enforce via DOB verification, optional ID verification, and community reporting. Report suspected minors to privacy@meetex.app or via in-app Report.
11. AI-Powered Features
Meetex uses OpenAI GPT-4o-mini for activity suggestions. We send contextual data only — never your name, photo, ID, exact location, or chat content. OpenAI does not train on this data.
Disable in Settings → Personalisation.
12. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The app does not use traditional web cookies. We use:
- Device storage (keep logged in)
- Anonymised device identifiers (analytics)
- Push notification tokens

13. Marketing Communications
Only with opt-in. Withdraw anytime via Settings → Notifications.
14. Changes to This Policy
Material changes: in-app banner, push, email, re-consent if rights materially affected.
