Cookies and Tracking Policy
The Meetex mobile app does not use traditional web cookies. We use:
1. Device storage
- Keep you logged in
- Remember preferences
- Cache content
- Track app version
Stays on your device. Not transmitted as tracking data.
2. Device and app identifiers
- Crash reporting
- Push notifications (FCM token)
- Analytics (pseudonymous)
- Security (ban evasion detection)
We do not use IDFA or GAID for advertising.
3. Third-party analytics SDKs
We use PostHog. Collects:
- Events triggered (screens, taps, features)
- Pseudonymous user ID (Meetex user ID, not name or contact)
- Device type, OS, app version
- Masked session replays (chat messages, photos, ID, profile all masked)
PostHog data processed in EU. We do not allow PostHog to sell or share data.
Opt out: Settings → Privacy → Analytics.
4. AI feature usage
OpenAI GPT-4o-mini for activity suggestions. Contextual data only. No PII. OpenAI does not train on this data.
Disable: Settings → Personalisation.
What We Don't Do
- No data sales
- No third party advertising
- No cross-app tracking
- No Facebook Pixel, Google Ads SDK, AppsFlyer
- No App Tracking Transparency framework (we don't track across)

Retention
- Analytics events: 24 months
- Session replays: 30 days
- Crash logs: 12 months
- FCM tokens: until uninstall/revoke
- Device fingerprint (banned): indefinite; otherwise deleted on account deletion
EU Users
Object to legitimate-interest analytics processing. Withdraw consent. Standard Contractual Clauses for non-EU transfers. Email privacy@meetex.app.
